About the AuthorJean D'Amérique is a Haitian-American writer and poet. He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was a child. D'Amérique has published two novels, A Sun to Be Sewn and Brotherhood of the Eternal Love, as well as a collection of poems, The Port-au-Prince Papers. D'Amérique's work has been praised for its lyrical beauty, its exploration of Haitian culture, and its unflinching look at the human condition.
